Below are just a few examples of our design work over the last few years, this small selection has been put together to show a broad array of design styles, brands and business sectors that I have worked on recently. On every piece shown below I have been either the lead or sole designer.

Bales Worldwide - Brand Re-fresh & Travel Brochure

Working in conjunction with &you marketing, we were tasked with a complete redesign of their corporate style, including a 148 page flagship travel brochure and all accompanying marketing material, both online and offline.

 

The brief was to change the corporate style to be more inspiring & exclusive and to give it a higher end luxury feel, with a clean and modern look — yet still reflect the heritage of a very well respected 60-year old brand.

 

This also involved re-designing their flagship travel brochure to match the new style.

As the client has contributors and travel writers all around the globe, we designed the brochure in template form and used "Incopy" as a platform to then create and deliver a web based system that allowed anyone anywhere in the world to interact with the copy and images 24/7.

 

This type of project collaboration meant all text amends and corrections could be done by the client and their global travel experts whenever it suited them.

 

It allowed for all prices to be put in at the very last minute by the relevant travel guides to make them as accurate as possible and meant that proof readers and project managers could work autonomously on the brochure without affecting lead time.

 

The result was a greatly reduced project lead-time, the correction rate was almost entirely eliminated and the overall cost of design and production was significantly reduced.

 

And not to mention, one very happy client.

Bales Worldwide - Press and Marketing Material

As part of the re-design and again in conjunction with &you Marketing we came up with the

 

 "See the world your way"

 

campaign. This was designed to highlight that Bales Worldwide holidays are luxurious, exclusive, and can be tailor-made to suit every wish.

 

This ran as an integrated campaign in national press, direct mail and online, as well as email.

 

One of the primary aims for the campaign was to get 'stand out from the crowd' and, in turn, get responses. The result was the highest response and best ROI campaign they had
ever run.

 

As the next evolution of the campaign, we wanted to be more specific with our targeting in various trade and travel magazines, designing adverts that will again have stand out but would run within or around relevant articles selling journeys to specific countries and/or interest and hobbies within those countries.

Bales Worldwide - Direct Marketing Material

To the right is just a small selection of the direct mailing pieces we have created for Bales Worldwide over the last few years.

Papa John's pizza - direct marketing campaign

Papa John's wanted to drive local store sales using customer data, so together with &you marketing, we designed a monthly mailing campaign to hit three separate customer groups within their database, which we split into three different groups:

 

1 - Recent purchasers

 

2 - Those who are frequent purchasers

 

3 - One-time purchases but living near a Papa John’s store.

 

Each group were targeted dynamically with different offer coupons. Local store detail and menus were dynamically added at print stage, along
with customer personalisation.

 

This targeted approach saw an uplift in sales of over 20% in virtually all 200 stores that signed up to the program.

 

UIA Insurance - trade press campaign

UIA wanted to tell their loyal membership base about their new Insurance product only available for members.

 

We were tasked with designing a series of adverts to run in trade press to promote this new product.

 

The client wanted a very text and information heavy advert, almost advatorial in style.

 

This campaign received larger than expected uplift in response.

 

NEULEAF - carbon-neutral garden maintenance

Neuleaf is a carbon-neutral garden maintenance company. We were tasked with designing the branding for this exciting new start up company.

 

The brief included the initial brand design and marketing material as well as clothing and equipment branding.

 

HADLANDS - Exclusive Buckinghamshire Estate Agent

Hadlands is an estate agent that has been operating in Amersham, Bucks. since 1984.

 

We were tasked with designing a press and poster campaign to increase awareness of of them in the wider area of Bucks.

 

LANCELOT BROWN - exclusive London-based property management company

Lancelot Brown is a leading London based property management company, working with both residential and commercial clients.

 

We were asked by them to design their branding for their company, including logo design, stationary and marketing material, website and all livery branding. The brand needed to look exclusive, but with a modern and clean look.
